    Aug. 11 The indictments charge Stephen L. Honthy, 39, of Newton, was indicted with resisting arrest, fourth degree crimes. The cases was investigated by Det. Michael Yanko of the Sussex County Sheriff’s Department. Lambert G. Johanson, 50, of Vernon, was indicted with stalking, a fourth degree crime. A Russell G. Heflich, 52, of Sloatsburg, N.Y. with 11 counts of issuing bad checks and seven counts of theft of services. The grand jury alleges that between the dates of June 1, 2010 and September 30, 2010 Heflich wrote checks to employees of the Timbers Restaurant in Byram Township which were returned for non-sufficient funds. Matthew Simon, 37, and Stacy Siegel, 35, both of Hopatcong were indicted with third degree conspiracy to commit theft and third degree theft. The indictment alleges that during the period of September 2009 through October 2010, Simon, while acting as President of the Hopatcong Hawks Soccer Club, and Siegel while acting as Treasurer of the Hopatcong Hawks Soccer Club, with taking funds in excess of $500 that belonged to the club. Steven G. Krouse, 51, of Newton was indicted, with unlawful possession of weapon, a second degree crime, and terroristic threats, a third degree crime. Aug. 23 Scott R. Slater, 45, of Montville was indicted with terroristic threats, a third degree crime, and resisting arrest, a third degree crime. George C. Agens, 31, of Andover was indicted with terroristic threats, a third degree crime. Daniel A. Woodhead 39, of Branchville was indicted with terroristic threats, a third degree crime. A grand jury indictment is a charge only. The defendant is presumed innocent until guilt may be proved at a jury trial.
