Sparta - Sussex County Technical School hosted its annual Partnership Day for Business and Education on Thursday, April 20. The event provides an opportunity for upperclassmen to familiarize themselves with the interviewing process and to secure employment. The day’s events started with a buffet luncheon, prepared and served by the culinary arts department. The luncheon included teriyaki chicken, Swedish meatballs, pasta with spinach and cheese filling and a tossed salad, accompanied by freshly baked rolls. Dessert consisted of a variety of pastries and baked goods, and a fresh fruit platter. After lunch, business professionals conducted interviews in areas specific to their fields of expertise. The school’s business partners share in the education process by acting as advisors to the technical programs. Representatives of various local companies make events such as Partnership Day possible by volunteering their time to help students transition to their chosen career paths.
