The circle of giving continues at K.E.E.P., Inc.
SPARTA Children enrolled in K.E.E.P.’s before- and after-school programs throughout Sussex County have been sharing their love with others for much of this year. A food drive before Thanksgiving brought in canned goods that were distributed to several food pantries and the children were busy making holiday ornaments for senior citizens throughout December. Through the generosity of congregants of the Sparta United Methodist Church and patrons of Lakeland Bank, over twenty-five children and their parents are now recipients of “gifts of love” this holiday season. Presents for every household member from infants through adults were donated, wrapped and tagged for each individual. In addition, K.E.E.P. children have been enjoying the holiday season by making and (of course!) eating gingerbread snowmen, designing personalized ornaments and learning about other cultures and their holiday celebration. K.E.E.P. has ongoing enrollment for its before- and after-school childcare in most local schools, as well as unlimited financial assistance for those who qualify.
