Officers from Sparta Police Department and extended family competed in the Tough Mudder challenge recently at Bear Creek Mountain in Pennsylvania to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project which supports rehabilitating injured veterans. The 11-mile, 25-obstacle course was designed by British Special Forces to test all around strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie. The weekend event, which had 10,000 participants, raised over $500,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project. From left, John Edwards, Officer Adam Carberry, Allen Carberry, Lt. Joe Schetting, Sgt.
