nominated for award Sparta — Erin Alderson, a sophomore at Sparta High School, has been nominated for a 2005 Perry Award by the New Jersey Association of Community Theaters. The non-profit corporation is dedicated to recognizing achievements by artists of all disciplines involved in the performance and production of community theatre in the state. Yearly, the association announces the nominees, and presents the awards at an awards gala, held this year on Sept. 18 in Somerset. Alderson was nominated as an "outstanding young female performer in a musical" for her performance in "Godspell," with the West Milford Players last November.
