Tiny Town tots tour Sussex County Airport

Sussex - Children enrolled in the pre-kindergarten class at Tiny Town Pre-School in Sparta enjoyed a trip to Sussex County Airport on March 22. Airport manager Paul Styger gave the four-year-olds a guided tour of the airport. The children were fascinated with the sights and sounds of the airport, and eagerly watched as planes landed, took off, and refueled. They were also able to assume the role of pilots as they sat in the cockpit of a small plane. Tiny Town Pre-School, located at 99 Demarest Rd. in Sparta, is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The school will celebrate the “Week of the Young Child” during the week of April 2. This year, Tiny Town’s focus is on the importance and benefits gained from early literacy. Sparta Mayor Ailish Hambel will visit the school to share and read her favorite children’s stories with the pre-kindergarten classes. The school is also sponsoring a book drive to benefit children within the community as well as the Gulf Coast. To donate new or gently used books, call 973-579-9999.
