SPARTA — On Saturday, July 30, a triathlon to benefit Pass It Along will take place in and around Lake Mohawk. White Deer Plaza will be closed to all traffic from 7 until 10:30 a.m. There will be no parking in the plaza from 3 until 10:30 a.m. Vehicles will be towed. Due to the large number of participants there will be a heavy police presence, which will strictly enforce traffic laws. Expect delays on surrounding roads. The race will start with swimming off the Boardwalk at Lake Mohawk. Competitors will then cycle west on West Shore Trail and then north onto Sparta Avenue. The cyclists will return to the West Shore Transition area and run a course that will take them south on East Shore Trail to Beach #5 and back to the finish line in White Deer Plaza.
