STILLWATER — Stillwater Girl Scout Troop 484 has been working on achieving their Silver Award for the past three years. The last requirement was to complete a community project. The girls chose to hold a Costume Bonanza where they received over 75 costumes and gave them away for free. The costumes were generously donated by the public and collected by placing boxes at local schools. The Scouts chose this project to help families who are less fortunate and also to recycle Halloween costumes. The Silver Award is the second highest award a Girl Scout can earn. Sam Fritsch, Rachel Van Gordan and Julia Pevarnik are currently working on their Gold Award.
