Workshop on childhood trauma set for Feb. 28

    Newton - NORWESCAP Child and Family Resource Services will host a workshop, “Identifying & Responding to Childhood Trauma,” from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the Child and Family Resource Center office, located at 186 Halsey Rd., Suite 1, in Newton. The workshop will be led by Laura Ulikowski, BA, MBA, who will present the latest information on childhood trauma, its causes and effects. Trauma in childhood can cause a variety of physical and emotional problems for both children and adults, creating a need for intervention and support. The workshop will examine how to identify it, how to understand it, and how to respond to it in supportive ways. The cost is $5; pre-registration is required.
