Young Chefs Academy opens in Newton
Newton Waco-based Young Chefs International has announced the opening of its newest Young Chefs Academy location in Newton -- a first for northern New Jersey. To celebrate the location’s opening, the store will host free hands-on demos on Sept. 29, 30, and Oct. 1 from noon - 5 p.m. The academy helps budding chefs learn the basics of cooking, while participating in the preparation of real recipes that they get to taste at the end of each class. Young Chefs Academy’s mission is to teach children the importance and value of cooking in a safe setting that encourages discovery and creativity, as fun. “We are excited to become part of the Newton community and delighted to be offering a truly unique experience for the kids in this county,” said Anna Levien. The kid-friendly kitchen classroom also provides a rea-life setting so that the students can use what they learn in their own homes. The focus of YCA is to see families back in the kitchen, whether it be exploring exotic cuisine or baking cookies.
