Your old glasses may help someone else

Sparta - March is “Save Your Vision” month. Area residents are reminded to take care of their eyes by getting them checked at least once a year. Use good lighting when reading or doing crafts. Use safety precautions at all times. Wear safety glasses or dust goggles to protect against flying particles, and chemical goggles to guard against exposure to fertilizers and pesticides. To help those less fortunate, throughout March there will be two drop-off sites for donations of old eyeglasses for recycling. Glasses may be dropped off at the Sparta Library, located at 22 Woodport Road, and the Sparta township building, located at 63 Main St.
