Congrats to Sparta band/football students

This was a great weekend for Sparta High School students who participate in football and marching band. The football team beat their cross-town rivals the Pope John Lions and the marching band placed first in a competition in Mount Olive after the game. I wanted to extend my personal congratulations to both. So often these days we seem to dwell on the students who create problems and we forget to acknowledge that there are young people in our community working hard to accomplish positive things.
