Grateful to participants

A big thank you to the Sparta Community for contributing to the Stamp out Hunger food drive on Saturday, May 14th. The event was a big success and all of us at the Sparta Post office are thankful to the community for the donation, as well as the volunteers that donated their time, such as Brittany Russo, Mary Rozsas and Mary Adams — all freshman from Pope John. We donated to four area pantries after collecting 5,050 pounds of food. Recipients were the First Baptist Church of Newton, the Harvest Food of Ogdensburg, the Sparta Presbyterian pantry and the Good Shepherd Church in Andover Sue Linda Perez Sparta Post Office
