Help for parents of children battling addiction

| 31 May 2025 | 07:52

I just read your article on overdose deaths.

Every overdose and every death is a tragedy for the individual, their respective loved ones and the community.

The Parents Support Group of New Jersey always is available to parents who need help navigating this issue.

As a nonprofit foundation, we sponsor self-help groups.

Parents attending may have children in active addiction, in treatment, or in new or longer-term sobriety.

We believe that addiction is an illness and that the attitudes and responses of parents can greatly help a child’s recovery.

Each group has a facilitator who is trained to ensure that group meetings deal with supportive subject matter and that each individual has a chance to participate.

Thanks for the attention you have drawn to this problem.
