In Mike Sylvester’s candidate statement this week in the Independent he claims that one of his top priorities is to address the issues facing Spartans, rather than those with political agendas. Later in the statement he states that he is a current county committee member, meaning he is an active member of the Sparta Republican Committee. That would be a contradiction adding more partisanship to the town council, which is exactly what we don’t need. I am voting for Molly Whilesmith who is not servings as a Committee member for either party.
