With loud stadium cheers and groans for tackles that maim.
Fans watch in story with our Greece Sparta ancestors,
As opponents smack one another to boost team scores.
But at what expense this human game of ours,
With traumatic brain injury for our hero stars.
Love this game and our skilled athletes competitive play,
And with every loud resounding hit ... for them pray.
