Who's afraid of the NRA?

It’s ridiculous for Republican elected officials and candidates to fear the NRA. I mean who is kidding who? If a Republican summons the courage to go against the NRA where is the NRA going to go with its support, to a Democrat? That thought isn’t a single laugh short of hilarious.
If we can all put our country first, the NRA has no options. Without the GOP to do its bidding the NRA would have to look around for another leg to bite and there will not be a bone to be had if all candidates say enough is enough. Come on folks, let’s open our eyes. Even Trump says he wants to do good things here but the NRA has pushed him back. All we need is for both parties to agree we will no longer allow the NRA to have a stranglehold on our policy making, on our nation. We can put an end to political terrorism and wholesale murder, an end to a tragic chapter in the history of the USA.
If after having given this all some rational thought, you are still gung-ho for guns and truly care about national defense, lose some weight, get in shape and go join the Marines. Be prepared for disappointment though. They are only “looking for a few good men.”
