Why you should re-elect Kylen Anderson to Board of Education

I’m writing to offer full support of Kylen Anderson for re-election to the Sparta Board of Education. She has proved herself to be thoughtful in her decision making and a terrific advocate for our schools. In addition, she works well with fellow board members so that they are able to move projects forward while staying within the town’s 2 percent budget cap. I know her to be a hard working volunteer for our students for many years.
I first met Kylen over 10 years ago when she was president of the Sparta Education Foundation (SEF), a nonprofit run by volunteers that has awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars to support students and teachers to promote academic excellence in our schools.
A fun fact, Kylen started our town’s “Turkey Trot” tradition, which raises money for Sparta Public Schools. To this day, Kylen is instrumental in pulling off the Trot on Thanksgiving morning. Her kids roll up their sleeves alongside their mom, and help run the Trot year after year. She works tirelessly in this town for our students, teachers and schools with fiscal responsibility top of mind. I hope you will join me in casting a vote to re-elect Kylen Anderson!
