News shouldn't have been on front page

How upsetting and disappointing for a family publication to put the devastating story of the young high school student who tragically took his life recently on the front page. As I believe it’s very important for parents and guardians to have an open communication with their children regarding not-so-favorable topics of suicide, drug abuse and alcohol abuse I don’t condone the Sparta Independent to flash the news on the front page of the paper. I think out of respect for the family suffering from the tragic loss of their son this article could of been placed in a more tasteful area of the newspaper rather than splashed on the front page. I’m sure the family is suffering enough and the community needs to pull together for them rather than turn them into this week’s headlines. Becky Kesselman Sparta
