Serviceman's wife thanks community

To the Community of Sparta, In February 2007, my husband was deployed to Iraq. Shortly after his departure, my infant son and I moved to Sparta to be near the support of family and friends. As I wait for my husbands safe return on March 7, I am preparing to move back to North Carolina. Before my departure, I would like to say the support I have received from the community of Sparta during this stressful year has been overwhelming. I would publicly like to thank the following local businesses for going above and beyond: the staff at Kiddie Academy for the excellent care my son received, Jim’s Station Auto for their honest and reliable service, and Andover Family Chiropractic for helping me minimize stress. I especially would like to thank Sparta Police Officers Mark Mastandrea and Richard Clayton for their response during an incident involving my moving company, their professionalism was paramount and their assistance was outstanding. Thank you again Sparta Community, Friends, and Family for your unwavering support. Sincerely, Teresa Overstreet
