Teachers thanked for boost in test scores

To the Editor: In response to the article, “School board strikes gold in search for land,” the Sparta Education Association would like the Sparta community to be aware of the hard work our members have invested over the past several years to make a marked improvement in our students’ test scores. Our teaching staff began this process of preparing the students for the four state tests (GEPA, HSPA, MASK 3, NJASK 4) well before March 2005. The Sparta Education Association would like to congratulate the teachers and paraprofessionals, with their countless years of experience, for their dedication to academic excellence, despite continuous budgetary restraints.
