Thank you to our Sparta High School Key Club members for seniors' party

To the Editor: Once again the Key Club of Sparta High School deserves special attention for their enormous participation in the Sparta Senior Citizen New Year’s Eve Party. This wonderful group of young men and women put aside five hours of their New Year’s Eve day, to entertain and serve at this lively party of 100 plus Sparta Seniors. They spent their time serving appetizers, drinks, dinner and dessert to the grateful partygoers. In addition they danced with them and for them, and sometimes just spent a few minutes in conversation, an occasion some seniors rarely enjoy. Many key club members stayed afterward until the event was all cleaned up. All too often the “good teens” in our town go unnoticed. I wish all of you could have witnessed the positive effect these kids had on the Sparta Seniors and myself as well. Thank you all. Marianne Dilworth Sparta Senior Citizen Coordinator
