Thanks to The Pizza Place

First of Sussex Toastmasters club in Sparta recently sponsored a Comedy Benefit show for a local family whose home was ravaged by the recent floods. The show was sold out due, in no small part, to Doug and Tim Harder of The Pizza Place in Sparta. Rather than simply displaying a publicity flyer in the restaurant, they taped a flyer onto every box of pizza sold during the second week before the show. This got the word out to hundreds of people who otherwise wouldn't have known. To me, this exemplifies why local business owners are such an integral part of the community. Of course, many other individuals and businesses were very supportive as well, but I wanted to specifically thank Doug and Tim for their efforts "above and beyond". Phil Sweet Sparta
