Project Help will host its 2nd Annual Poster Contest, “Honoring All Who Served”.
The contest is open to all school aged children from kindergarten through high school in the entire state of New Jersey.
“Honoring All Who Served” is the theme to be depicted in the posters created by the children. New this year, digital art will be accepted and will have a separate category for it.
Invitations were sent to Superintendents and Principals for distribution to art teachers in the hopes they will invite their student body to participate. Home schooled, religious, charter and alternative school children are welcome to participate.
Details and applications can be found on www.projecthelp.us/events or by calling Sandy Mitchell at 973-875-2068.
There are three divisions based on grade levels, and each division will be awarded first, second and third place prizes at the awards ceremony which will be held in Parsippany on April 3, 2019. The free awards ceremony will kick off with a buffet supper at 6:45 followed by a short presentation about the mission of Project Help and how they provide vital assistance to veterans and their families and prepare them for entering the workforce.
The awards and pictures will wrap up the evening along with dessert and coffee, door prizes and other surprises.
“Last year the attendance was fantastic and all of the participants and their families had a great time”, said Sandy Mitchell, Executive Director of Project Help. “The talent shown from all was amazing”, said Jennifer Domaracki, Director of Marketing at Project Help Poster contest chair.
