Shepherd of the Hills hosts outdoor summer concert
Sparta. Christian musician Bill McGowan of Pushingstone performed Aug. 21 at an outdoor summer concert hosted by Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Sparta.

Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Sparta hosted a special outdoor summer concert Aug. 21 featuring Bill McGowan of Pushingstone, a self-taught Christian musician known for scripture-inspired compositions.
The concert was held from 7 to 9 p.m. and offered an evening of music, faith and community.
McGowan’s music blends storytelling, reflection and New Testament themes, with a particular focus on stories of women in scripture.
His work has been performed for audiences throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Information about Pushingstone’s music is available at Pushingstone on Bandcamp.
The family-friendly event was designed to bring members of the Sparta community together through music, faith and shared worship.
